Eggman Family Farms & Honey

Eggman Family Farms & Honey LLC is a four-generation community farm rooted in Tulare County, California, where generations of family knowledge, agriculture, beekeeping, and stewardship of the land have been passed down through the years. Farm owner Jamie Fenson was raised on the family farm alongside her father, learning firsthand the traditions and skills of cultivating the land, caring for plants, harvesting produce, and understanding the natural process that brings food from a seed to the table. As the daughter of a beekeeper, Jamie also grew up learning the importance of bees, pollination, honey production, and the essential relationship between agriculture and our environment.

Through the farm’s Seeds-to-Table Program, students, farmers, agricultural workers, and community members have the opportunity to experience that process firsthand—from planting a seed and caring for the soil to watching crops grow, harvesting seasonal produce, and learning traditional ways of preserving food, including making jams and other products from the harvest.

The farm is home to a beautiful variety of fruit trees and gardens, including pomegranates, oranges, walnuts, peaches, persimmons, lemons, multiple varieties of figs, berries, melons, squash, seasonal vegetables, roses, and a community herb garden. During harvest seasons, our team works directly with the farm to harvest fresh produce and bring it back to Garden Grove, where it can be distributed through our food bank and community programs. This farm-to-community connection has also helped provide fresh produce to soup kitchens and food resources throughout Orange County, Kern County, and Tulare County.

At the heart of the Seeds-to-Table Program is a simple but powerful lesson: food does not begin at the grocery store—it begins with the soil, the seed, the farmer, the pollinators, and the hands that care for the land. By teaching natural and sustainable approaches to gardening and agriculture, we hope to inspire the next generation to understand where their food comes from, value the people who grow it, and recognize the importance of caring for our land and our communities.

Through Eggman Family Farms & Honey LLC’s beekeeping and honey production, students and community members can also discover the remarkable role bees play in agriculture and food production—connecting the entire journey from seed, to bloom, to harvest, to table. 🌱🐝🍯
